1.) I love this video from Math Coach on You Tube because it uses number lines to help the students understand rounding. To turn it into an activity, have your students use dry erase boards to solve the problems with the video. Pause the video before the answers are shown to give your students time to work. Yesterday I shared a few of my favorite websites for elementary math. Today I would like to share some great sites for middle and high school students. These videos would be a good compliment to classroom lessons, homeschool lessons, or as a review at home.
It’s no secret! Kids love computers, tablets, cell phones, game consoles, and almost anything with a glowing screen. It is important to limit screen time and find other activities for kids to engage in, but parents and teachers can also use their children’s interest in electronics to help them learn and reinforce essential math skills.
